Doctor Flip Stander has started a counting of this desert adapted lions in 1998. Conflicts with the farmers, bring those lions to a close extinction. Since recent year they started to roam again in the Kunene region. Follow their journey as most of them are now equiped by radio collars. The news section will keep you updated with there movements.

Save the rhino trust Namibia started in the 80's, there goal was to protect the black rhinos population in the Kunene region. First step was to convinced the local population that a rhino alive is better than a dead rhino. Ex poachers became protectors. Now this population has increased and some rhinos were even relocated to places where they had been disappeared for years.
